Mongolia: August 2007…

This years trip to Mongolia was a positive success. Our group of 16 people (+Mariano & Agnese as guides) managed to complete the tour whithout trouble . The vast and verdant landscape , its unique monasteries , friendly people , blue skies and team spirit motivated all of us and worked as an extra energy booster for our daily cycling and our campfire songs at night.

"On the Inca Trail ": Machu Picchu on a mountain bike...

Discover the lands of the south American Inca empire following the road of king Manco Capac. From La Paz (Bolivia) to Cusco (Perú), visit selected places alternating with detours along secondary roads and different landscapes . We descend into the yungas , using one of the steepest "Downhill" of the world. Cycling from Copacabana (on the shores of lake Titicaca -Bolivia) to Ollantaitambo. Trekking the famous "Inca Trail " to Machu Picchu.

Duration: 13 days
Distance: 650 km on mountain bike on paved road, average height 3.500 m.a.s.l. , 45 km trekking. Maximum height : 4350 m.a.s.l.

Places we visit : Copacabana on lake Titicaca (Bolivia), island of Isla del sol, Coroico ( yungas 'dowhill'), Puno, island of the Uros people , Abra de la Raya, Cuzco, "Inca Sacred valley ", Machu Picchu ruins.
