TRANSPATAGONIA
In the first part, between Puerto Montt 🇨🇱 and Bariloche 🇦🇷, we pedaled between fjords and lakes, crossing the Andes through a highly volcanic region of dense vegetation, passing through five national parks.
Towards the end of the journey, we crossed the Somuncura Region, a very ancient plateau of volcanic origin, a place of great mystique, worshipped by the ancient indigenous people, who south of the Cain had a sacred place, “Yanmago,” with its mysterious stone. It is also said that the “Templars” arrived in the Middle Ages, before Columbus arrived in America.
It is a protected region, with some endemic animal species, and its geography, with occasional oases and lagoons, is an interesting challenge for cyclists, who as a reward enjoy its unique and wild beauty.
For two days, we traveled through this fantastic place, without crossing paths with vehicles, only occasionally seeing a few horsemen and animals. I recommend visiting this magical and hidden treasure of Patagonia!
